Colon Cancer is the third leading cause of cancer in men and the second leading cause of cancer in women. The only way to diagnose colon cancer is through a Colonoscopy procedure. This procedure is painless, takes only about 15-20 minutes, has low risks and is considered a safe procedure. It is recommended that all adults over the age of 50 have a colonoscopy. However, Dr. Foster recommends that African American’s get tested earlier, at age 45.
